On Earth Day, President Biden announced an allocation of $7 billion in grants directed towards developing solar energy projects for around 900,000 low- and middle-income households. This large-scale effort is projected to reduce carbon emissions equivalent to 30 million metric tons of CO2, while saving these households approximately $350 million annually on energy bills.
